Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.1
Resolution
You must be running one of the following versions on all your ZCM servers before attempting to apply the 10.1.3 update:

10.1.2 or 10.1.2a

10.1.2 or 10.1.2a
10.1.3 is a "cumulative" update, containing all fixes to date since 10.1, and Novell recommends that previous updates are deleted, since they are no longer required: to do so from the ZENworks Control Center, select "Configuration"> "System Updates" then select the previous updates (such as 10.1, 10.1.1 and 10.1.2a), then select "Action"> "Delete Update". If the earlier updates in the list are not deleted, then any new servers installed after this time, and servers upgrading from earlier versions, would have these updates applied unnecessarily. The deletion can take place before, or after, applying 10.1.3. Please note: after deleting these updates, if you perform a "check for updates", they will return in your list of updates, but because they are not downloaded or assigned to any devices at that point, they will not interfere with future updates.
In order to upgrade the agent on your workstations, they must be running version 10.0.3 or later, it is not necessary to upgrade all agents to 10.1 or higher before applying this update.
- The preferred method to obtain this update is to use System Updates: see section 12.0 in the online document "ZENworks 10 Configuration Management System Administration Reference", entitled "ZENworks System Updates".
- If you cannot use online System Updates, and need to apply the update manually, you can download a zip file containing the update. See "ZCM 10.1.3 manual update zip file" at https://download.novell.com/patch/finder
