Migration Error: Unable to establish the connection to the ZENworks database server

Preparing for an upgrade to ZENworks 11 SP3
Migrating a 32-bit Windows 2003 primary server to Windows 2012 64-bit
Migrating a 32-bit Windows 2003 primary server to Windows 2008 64-bit
Migration was started on the target server with the command: setup.exe -R
The database service and other ZENworks services are running on the source server

The following error is shown in the installer:

ERROR:
ZENworks 11 SP2
Error Unable to establish the connection to the ZENworks database server.

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is a supported platform for ZENworks 11.2.x primary server
Make sure the ZENworks database server is running.
Make sure both devices are on the same subnet.

Microsoft Windows Server 2012 is not a supported platform for ZENworks 11.2.x primary server.
