Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 3 - 10.3

Situation

Aero is configured and working on a Windows PC both prior to and after the Install of the ZCM Agent.  When a Remote Session is started with the PC, Aero is disabled as expected.

However, Aero is not re-enabled after the Remote Session is terminated.

A reboot of the PC leaves Aero in a disabled state.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.3.1 - see KB 7006265 "ZENworks Configuration Management 10.3.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

See the additional Information section also

Additional Information

Workaround for Systems older than 10.3.1: Delete the Mirage Driver.

Note that there is a similar issue for Windows 7 devices, that is not fixed in 10.3.1 - see KB 7005102 Remote Controlling a Windows 7 PC permanently disables Windows Aero
