Upgrading or installing ZCM 11.2 on devices with HP DriveGuard v4.2.2.1

No errors are reported

Device does not reboot after upgrade/install


IMPORTANT NOTE: Even with the Novell updates below, it is essential to have the correct version of HP DriveGuard: for Windows 7, version or later, and for XP, version or later (look for the version for the file hpdskflt.sys). Without these versions, the operating system may still crash ("Blue Screen Of Death") because of a bug in the HP DriveGuard software

This is fixed in version 11.2.3a - see KB 7011295 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.3a - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7011295 - with ZCM 11.2.3, the version of the HP driver is checked, and if less than the supported versions, the install/upgrade of 11.2.3a will take place with the ZESM drivers disabled, and ZESM policies will be blocked until the HP software is upgraded to a supported version.

For ZCM 11.2: Because the problem occurs during the upgrade to ZCM 11.2, for any device which needs to be upgraded from an earlier version to 11.2, it is necessary to patch ZCM 11.2 to include this fix.
