The Attachmate Customization Tool enables you to create a Companion installer package (MSI file) with additional files to deploy to users.

After you set up configuration files that customize Reflection, you can use the  
Customization tool to package the files so you can deploy them to users.

To do this, you'll need to have access to an administrative installation point that you can install from and a Workstation that has the configuration files.

It's also a good idea to set up a shortcut to the customization tool on the server.

The first thing you need to do is to make sure you know where the files you want to deploy are located on your workstation.

We'll add this session file and we'll also add a custom keyboard map file.

Now we use this desktop shortcut to open the customization tool.

When the tool opens, we'll select to create a new companion installer so we can create the package for our files.

First we'll enter the name of the package and then the company name.

These are the names that you'll see in the Programs and Features list in windows after the files are installed.

Then we need to select whether to install files to a single user or in a common directory for all users.

Now we'll add the session file to the package.

You can see that the file is set up by default to be deployed to Personal Folders, My Files.

We'll need to change this because Reflection looks for files in specific directories...

and whenever we deploy a file we need to make sure we specify the right directory.

Then we'll add a desktop shortcut and apply the changes for the file.

Now we'll add the keyboard map file. We don't need a shortcut for this file so we'll unselect Include shortcuts.

Now we'll find the file in the workstation and then set the directory to the location that Reflection uses for keyboard maps. Make sure that you use the right directory for each file name you add. If the file isn't deployed the right directory, Reflection will not be able to find it.

Now save the MSI file in the administrative installation point.

You can deploy this file just like you would any other MSI - with the original installation or independently.
