Situation
When converting a Virtual Machine to a physical server you may experience issues with the VM tools services and applications (.e.g. Microsoft's VM Additions or VMware Tools) since they are not designed to run on a physical environment.
Resolution
It is recommended to remove the VM environment tools (.e.g. Microsoft's VM Additions or VMware Tools) prior to the conversions and rediscover the Virtual Machine after the removal of the tools.
