Situation

PlateSpin tools offer full support for Windows 2000 and 2003 Dynamic Disks (including Mirroring, Spanned Volumes, RAID5, etc.)

Resolution

Note: When migrating a workload with Dynamic disk(s) following will occur:

  • The disk type on the target will be basic disk only
  • For each volume which resides in dynamic disks configuration on the source PlateSpin will allocate an extra 5% of disk space (by design)
