ZENworks Configuration Management 2017

Situation

The ova for ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 Appliance fails gives error on ESXi 6.5:

OVF package with compressed disks is currently not supported for OVF import.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 2020 - see KB 7024113 "ZENworks Configuration Management 2020 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7024113

For prior release:  A new appliance build that is compatible with ESXi 6.5 and later has been released.  See ZENworks2017b_Appliance-x86_64.ova at https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=ViUC7OEy0KA~

Note: This file is a functionally-identical version of the earlier file (ZENworks2017a_Appliance-x86_64.ova), repackaged only to include support for ESXi 6.5.  For those who already have installed the appliance, no steps are necessary.

Cause

ESXi 6.5 wasn't compatible with the earlier packaged file and required manual steps to install per TID  7022054.
