Reflection Desktop for NonStop Add-On version 16.0
Situation
This technical note describes new features in Reflection Desktop for NonStop Add-On 16.0 Update 1. This update released January 2016.
Resolution
Installation Instructions
The base and add-on products must be updated to the same version. First, update your Reflection Desktop product (as described in Technical Note 2848). Then, install the update to the Reflection Desktop for NonStop Add-On.
New Features
In addition to the features and fixes previously released in version 16.0 (as described in KB 7021414), this update includes the following new features.
- It is now possible to customize the log file name with variables specifying host name, session name, and the date. The new log file name parameters are:
%H - hostname%S - session name%Y - four-digit year%M - two-digit month%D - two-digit day of the monthFor example, with a session named “Tandem.rd6x” and a host called “6530System”,
LogFile_%S_%H_%M-%D-%Y.logWill produce:
Logfile_Tandem.rd6x_6530System_01-29-2016.log- The ability to run a macro from a Ribbon button, the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT), or to be prompted to run a macro when a specific action occurs in Reflection 6530 sessions has been added.
- The Reflection FTP Client now provides the ability to detect a Tandem Guardian personality host system and will append the string “101” to the destination filename when performing multiple text file transfer uploads.
