Question:
Where can I see a Reload server with Blueprint Installed
Answer:
Go Here and click on POST1
Question
Can I install Blueprint for Reload without a license?
Answer
Yes, Blueprint will run reports for the first 10% of the mailboxes on the post office up to 60 users. So if you have a 1,000 user post office, you will only get a report for the first 60 mailboxes, in alphabetical order based on the USERID of the mailbox.

Question
Recently a customer quipped: "... it seems that its functionality (Blueprint's) should be part of the base product - RELOAD."
Answer
"GWAVA's Blueprint for Reload" really has very little to do with Reload, but it has everything to do with the mailbox and post office data in your GroupWise system.
Reload is a Hot Backup, and Push-Button Disaster Recovery system for Novell GroupWise. Blueprint is a Reporting & Analsysis System for Novell GroupWise. By no stretch of the imagination are these two functions related to one another.
The reason GWAVA called the product "Blueprint for Reload" was to protect themselves from trademark infringement, as there are several other software products with "Blueprint" as part of their name. Since the Blueprint agents use an ingenious "proxy-data-analysis" design, via the data on the Reload server, it was dubbed "GWAVA Blueprint for Reload".
Blueprint is installed to a GWAVA Reload server. Since the GWAVA Reload server has a near-term mirror copy of the post office, Blueprint is essentially deriving information about each live GroupWise mailbox and post office through the copy of the post offices on the Reload server. With this design Blueprint has a 0% effect on the live GroupWise system. Here are the benefits of this design:
1. All software is contained on the Reload server
2. No changes to the live GroupWise system are needed
3. No processing against the live GroupWise system is required
4. Customers can more fully leverage the server investment they made to host Reload
5. Customers needn't allocate any additional resources in order to implement Blueprint
The Blueprint for Reload design method is similar to how GWAVA's Retain agents can be pointed to the Reload server to dredge for data, rather than the live GroupWise system. Many customers, particularly larger customers, have used this design method of dredging from Reload to their advantage.
Question
I have Reload, but what does reporting have to do with Push-Button Disaster Recovery and Backup for GroupWise?
Answer
Nothing! But here is the idea. You have a recent snapshot of your GroupWise system on your Reload server, so the data is relevant for detailed analysis of your GroupWise system. Blueprint for Reload runs two individual GWCHECKs for each mailbox in the post office(s) on the Reload server. Blueprint also runs a GWCHECK Audit job for the entire post office, on the Reload server. All of this processing is done on the Reload server without any impact on your live system.
Question
So the Blueprint for Reload Agent installs right to the Reload server correct?
Answer
Yes
Question
How often do I get reports from Blueprint?
Answer
Generally once a week is sufficient so Blueprint jobs are configured to run automatically after the weekly Reload Portable; however, a job for a post office can be run on demand at any time by typing "blueprint job start <profile name>" at a command prompt on the Reload server. A job can also be initiated from the Reload web interface where a Reload Standard backup job is started. Blueprint reports are sent right to the administrator's e-mail and others as needed.
Question
Can I get a Blueprint report for just one user on demand?
Answer
Yes
Question
When the Blueprint for Reload Agent is generating reports, how long does it take to do so?
Answer
It depends on the size of the post office and the number of users. For example, a post office that is 1.16 Terabytes with 900 users takes about 7 hours to generate reports.
Question
What versions of GroupWise does Blueprint for Reload work with?
Answer
GroupWise 8 or GroupWise 2012 must be installed on the GWAVA Reload server. It's perfectly fine for your live GroupWise system to have GroupWise 7 as long as your Reload server has GroupWise 8 installed on the Reload server.
Question
Do I have to configure anything on my live GroupWise system for Blueprint?
Answer
No, absolutely no changes are needed in the live GroupWise system.
Question
Can I customize the reports and add or remove fields?
Answer
Yes.
