Error in Worker Log: "Cannot Get Salt from Server"

Situation


After upgrading Retain, the administrator cannot log into the RetainWorker web management page.  The Worker log reports the error, "Cannot get salt from server".

Resolution


Deleting the old bootstrap (RetainWorker.cfg) and uploading a new boostrap failed to resolve the issue.
