ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 Content
Situation
Satellite Servers not receiving content items.
Content items are marked as Pending while no longer
required.
Content items are not getting cleaned-up.
Resolution
This is fixed in version ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 Update 1 - see KB 7020155 "ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 Update 1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7020155
Workaround: For an official Field Test file on ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 contact Micro Focus Customer Care ZENworks Technical Support.
Cause
Starting with ZENworks 2017 content sync is solely based on the
zContentSyncState sql database
table and new content items are marked as Pending on import for the different
Primary & Satellite servers. After this, while related bundles
or policies are removed, the content items can stay behind even
with Pending status while no longer
required.

Bug 1035089 - ZPM DAU or Patch Agent bundle content not properly imported due to unique constraint in zContentSyncState
Bug 1045565 - Content servers will try to replicate the contents which are still in packaging state due to pending records
Bug 1036508 - Content import/replication issues and apparently related to surplus content items
Bug 1038145 - zpm content server returns with limited contents to replicate to satellite
Bug 1045872 - Bundle status is shown as unavailable for servers which contains aliased content within the same bundle
