Ext USB devices cause boot hang after successful PBA authentication

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.4

Situation

Customer environment;
Windows 7 Pro SP1 (7601) on Lenovo 20FMS0KA00
ZAA Version: 11.4.1.5619
FDE Version: 9.7.4.2
Boot hangs when a USB device is attached. BIOS and DMI settings have been verified on the devices.
The devices causing the boot hang (after a successful PBA authentication) include:
Docking stations, Printers, USB external hard drives.

After a successful PBA login, the user just sees a white screen and windows does not boot if the devices are connected during boot.

Resolution

New Linux kernel required for proper function on this hardware model and chipset.

Additional Information

Disconnecting the external devices allows for proper boot.

Checked TID 7017641 to verify USB controller driver not causing issue.

No ZESM policies defined in ZCM.
