Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.3

Situation

Running zac pap causes high cpu utilization and may take hours to complete, even when most or all of the patches are already installed.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.4 - see KB 7016614 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11 SP4 (11.4.0) - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7016614


For 11.3.2 FTF Rollup (FRU) 1 contact Novell Technical Support for an official field test file that eliminates the unnecessary and time consuming logging (see Cause below).

Cause

Deserialization of the cached worksets for logging purposes is using unnecessary cycles.  Example:
