Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.3
Microsoft SQL Server Database

Situation

  • Updating or creating a Dynamic Workstation Group
  • The group filter would include a very large number of devices (upward of 60,000)
  • The update or creation could take over an hour or never complete
  • Locking may occur on the Microsoft SQL Server database

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.4 - see KB 7016614 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11 SP4 (11.4.0) - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7016614
