LDAP connection test fails
GroupWise cannot contact LDAP server
In GroupWise 2014 LDAP server the Test connection works only when entering the password in on the first time


This issue is a cosmetic issue only. Re-entering the password fresh with result in a successful test connection; however, the connection test will fail if using a saved ldap connection with the password already entered. At the time of writing this TID, for the LDAP Test Connection to work, the password must always be typed in before testing the connection, even if the connection has succeeded in previous attempts. Again this is a cosmetic issue with the web-interface and does not effect the GroupWise System nor the functionality of LDAP.
Note: If the correct password is being used with the connection test failing, verify the LDAP has proper rights - See TID 7014851

Please follow the steps below for a successful connection test:
  1. Launch Admin console of GroupWise2014
  2. Click  System | LDAP Servers | Select existing LDAP server | Test Connection
  3. Try entering the password in fresh and then click Test Connection.


This is a cosmetic issue only.
