ZCM advanced search does not find devices when filtering on Primary User

In ZCC when running an advanced search for devices using either Primary User - First Name or Primary User - Last Name as a filter, there are no devices found. When viewing the individual device details, the name that was searched on is associated to the device as the Primary User. Also when viewing the user details of the user with the first or last name used in the search, the device is associated as the Primary Workstation.
