Situation

Creating an image of a UEFI based device

The following message is seen when creating the image:

ERROR:
Trying to make GPT based image from BIOS machine.

Resolution

Edit the BIOS settings and change the disk partition type from Legacy to UEFI.

Cause

GPT drive format doesn't work with BIOS settings on a UEFI drive.
