ZCM 11.2.3: ZENworks agent is not running when performing a login in computer-only mode

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.3
Novell Client for Windows 7

Situation

In certain situations when logging on to the device in computer-only mode, it takes an exceptionally long to build up the desktop, and the ZENworks agent is not running. 

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.2.3a - see KB 7011295 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.3a - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7011295

Cause

The agent was shutdown because of an unhandled exception when the IP of the device is 0.0.0.0
