Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2

Since update to 11.2.2, zac cc fails whether or not the ZESM spoke module is disabled.

Note, in 11.2.2 Monthly Update 2 and later, this message will be seen if Agent Self Defense (ASD) is enabled on the device.  This is per design.  Agent self defense can be disabled per workstation, per Workstation folder or at the zone level as needed.
This is fixed in version 11.2.3a - see KB 7011295 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.3a - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at
Workaround: if it is not possible to upgrade to ZCM 11.2.3a at this time, in the interim, Novell has made a Patch available for testing, as part of a Monthly patch update: it can be obtained at as "ZCM 11.2.2 Monthly Update 2 - see TID 7011483". This update should only be applied if the symptoms above are being experienced, and are causing problems.

Please report any problems encountered when using this Patch, by using the feedback link on this TID.

Workaround for prior versions:
In ZCC enable password override.  ZCC > Configuration > Device Management > ZENworks Agent > Override Password for ZENworks Adaptive Agent
Once password override is enabled in ZCC,  go to the ESM about box and click the override button.  This will allow zac cc to run.
In an environment where the ZESM spoke is disabled, the ESM about link is hidden from the zenagent properties.  In this case, access the ESM about box by clicking Start > All programs > Novell > ZENworks Endpoint Security About.  Or, the ESM about box may be accessed by opening a command prompt, browsing to the %ZENWORKS_HOME\esm directory and runing zescommand -about.
