Situation

Unable to see mobile phone numbers while doing Global Address Book Lookup
GAL Lookup on device does not show mobile phone numbers
Unable to see mobile numbers on the device while doing Global Address Book Lookup

Resolution

  1. Please make sure that the latest version of Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack is installed. Latest Build of Novell Data Synchronizer Mobility Pack can be downloaded from
    https://download.novell.com/patch/finder
  2. For GroupWise 2012, this issue should not be seen. If GroupWise 2012 is being used and this issue is still being seen, please follow the steps listed in the following TID

    OR

    If GroupWise 8 is being used, please follow the steps listed below
    • Login as a user using GroupWise Client.
    • Click Address Book.
    • Right Click Novell GroupWise Address Book and click Export Book.
    • Change the Save as type to Comma Separated (*.csv) and put the file name as gal.csv.
    • Select the Location where it needs to be saved.
    • Copy gal.csv to /opt/novell/datasync on the server.
    • Follow the steps in the following TID and restart DataSync
