ZCM 10x to 11 upgrade fails if ZLM agent is installed

Environment

Novell ZENworks 11 Configuration Management Installation - Server
Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management
Novell ZENworks 7.3 Linux Management - ZLM7.3

Situation

ZCM 11 upgrade from ZCM 10.x fails to upgrade successfully when the ZLM agent is installed.
The ZCC displays the primary as 10.3.1
 
ZLM is not uninstalled during the upgrade process.
ZLM cannot be removed after the upgrade process
 
Errors reported in the system-update.log:
There was an error while installing package -U
\"/media/ZENworks11/Common/rpm/novell-zenworks-xplat-zmd-rmagent-11.0.0-38428.noarch.rpm\"
--verbose. RPM return code: 1.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 11.1 - see KB 7008746 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Workaround:
Uninstall the zlm-agent prior to upgrading to ZCM 11.
