dbisql Find does not find Sybase ZENworks instance

Environment

Novell ZENworks 11 Configuration Management (ZCM)

Situation

New installs of ZENworks 11 do not show server list when running dbisql > Database tab > Find. It brings up an empty list.

ZENworks 11 updated from prior release does not have this problem.

Resolution

Workaround: Use the database server name (not db file) for the servername. For example, for "myzone ", enter zenworks_myzone . After the first login, the drop down box will have the zone entry so Find is not needed.

Additional Information

The database names can be checked by looking at the following files:
ZENworks database:
Linux: /etc/opt/novell/zenworks/datamodel/zdm.xml
Windows: %ZENWORKS_HOME%/conf/datamodel/zdm.xml

NOTE: 11.3.x introduced the Audit database:
Linux: /etc/opt/novell/zenworks/datamodel/zenaudit.xml
Windows: %ZENWORKS_HOME%/conf/datamodel/zenaudit.xml
