Situation
Mirrored SLES 11 SP1 Updates Linux Bundle exported as YUM repository
zypper lu or zypper up does not show any update available

Resolution
This is fixed in version 11.1 - see KB 7008746 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Workaround
Add the following line in /etc/zypp/zypp.conf:
solver.allowVendorChange = true

Additional Information
The YUM repository meta-data information (primary.xml.gz)contains empty vendor information instead of the vendor information contained in the different rpm packages. Zypper requires the YUM repository meta-data information to contain vendor information of the rpm packages to match it against the already installed version of the packages.
