Devices do not update to the latest Product Recognition Update (PRU)

Environment

Novell ZENworks 11 Configuration Management
Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 3 - 10.3

Situation

Primary or satellite servers excluded from automatically receiving new bundles are applying these settings to system bundles such as the PRU

Resolution

 For ZCM 10.3: This is fixed in version 10.3.4 - see KB 7008244 "ZENworks Configuration Management 10.3.4 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
 
 For ZCM 11: This is fixed in version 11.1 - see KB 7008746 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found athttps://www.novell.com/support

    Workaround:

    Manually changing the replication settings for the individual bundle. To access the system bundles, perform the following steps:

    1. Login to ZCC and browse to the "Bundles" page using the link on the left-hand side
    2. Append &uid=/System to the end of the URL, this will result in a URL similar to
      https://[zcm server DNS name]/zenworks/jsp/index.jsp?pageid=bundleList&uid=/System
    3. Press enter, this will show the system bundles
    4. For PRU bundles, click on the System Bundles link, select the correct PRU bundle (the most recent one will have the highest number in its name)
    5. Modify the replication settings using the Settings tab of the bundle and choosing Primary Server Replication or Satellite Server Replication
