Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 Imaging
Situation
When attempting to apply an assigned imaging bundle to a "Dummy" device, the following error may occur:
A "Dummy" device is one that was created manually in ZCC prior to reconciliation with a registered device.
Error: There was an error setting the selected devices to apply their effective imaging bundles.

Resolution
This is fixed in version 11.2.1 - see KB 7010042 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7010042
Workaround: if it is not possible to upgrade to 11.2.1 at this time, in the interim, Novell has made a Patch available for testing, as part of a Monthly patch update: it can be obtained at https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=KF-YQvmcMJs~ as "ZCM 11.2 Monthly Update 2 - see TID 7006918". This update should only be applied if the symptoms above are being experienced, and are causing problems.

Workaround:
1. In ZCC > Devices click on a "Dummy" device to open the summary for that device.
2. Under Imaging Work click Advanced.
3. Using the drop-down menu for Schedule Work, select Apply Assigned Imaging Bundle.
