Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Support Pack 1 - ZDM7 SP1 Management Agent
Situation
With the agent from ZENworks Desktop Management 7 Support Pack 1 Interim Release 4 Hot patch 4 (7.0.173.100324, see TID 3546801"How to check which version of ZENworks 7 Desktop Management you have installed"), applications marked "Run as Unsecure System" are not visible when launched - however the application does launch, and can be seen in Task Manager
Resolution
Fixed in ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 4 Hot Patch 5, see KB 3484245 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Workaround: if it is not possible to upgrade to ZDM7SP1IR4HP5 at this time, in the interim, Novell has made a Patch available for testing, in the form of a Field Test File (FTF): it can be obtained at https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=sG6LogOlcss~ as "ZDM7 NALWIN patch - see KB 7006312 and KB 7006322 ". This Patch should only be applied if the symptoms above are being experienced, and are causing problems.
This Patch has had limited testing, and should not be used in a production system without first being checked in a test environment. Some Patches have specific requirements for deployment, it is very important to follow any instructions in the readme at the download site. Please report any problems encountered when using this Patch, by using the feedback link on this TID.
