Java exception when clicking 'deployment' in ZCC

Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 2 - 10.2 ZENworks Control Center - ZCC

Situation

On the left hand side in ZCC, clicking on 'Deployment' does not load the web page. The generic 'web page cannot be found' is displayed.
 
Error that is seen in ZCC.log:
 
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No enum const class
com.novell.zenworks.discovery.ostype.OSPlatform.WIN2K8R2
at java.lang.Enum.valueOf(Enum.java:192)
 
 

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.3.1 - see KB 7006265 "ZENworks Configuration Management 10.3.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

This issue is caused when running a discovery task on Windows 2008 R2 devices. After the discovery task is run, trying to get back into the 'Deployment' link in ZCC will fail and will not display the web page.
 
This issue is also seen when trying to discover Windows 7 workstations (See TID:7004846)

Clicking on "Deployment" in ZCC, Deployment page is not displayed.
ZCC.log shows "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No enum const class
com.novell.zenworks.discovery.ostype.OSPlatform.WIN7"
