Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11

Situation

Installation or update of Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) 11 fails on a Windows Server where the Novell ZENworks Configuration Management (ZCM) Adaptive Agent is installed while "Configuring IIS".

No error is reported by SEPM.

The installation or update stops, a command shell opens reporting "Symantec Web Site install sucess!"[sic] If the command shell is closed, the installation or update is canceled and rolled back.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.2.2 - see KB 7004803 "ZENworks 10 Configuration Management 10.2.2 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
