The ZMD process randomly stops running

Environment

Novell ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management - ZLM7.2

Situation

The error is written to an older zmd-messages.log:
/var/opt/novell/log/zenworks # tail zmd-messages.log.2008-04-29
ERROR: could not create remoting socket directory.

The event-watcher is still active.

Resolution

To obtain access to a hot patch with the fix for this problem, follow the instructions in KB 3469853 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management" which can be found athttps://www.novell.com/support
