ZCM 10: some patches do not get deployed reliably

Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 2 - 10.2 Patch Management

Situation

Some patches deployed via Patch Management may not get installed

ERROR: "CreateProcessAsUser failed for app" in zmd-messages.log

Patch works if re-deployed

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.2.1 - see KB 7003766 "ZENworks 10 Configuration Management 10.2.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

This issue was caused by the failure to create the Dynamic Administrative User required to install the patch.
