Situation

Deploying multiple patch bundles to a managed device either via a Mandatory Baseline or the Deployment Wizard is resulting in Remediate 200 errors. Only one Remediate.exe process exists in the task manager.

The latest ZENworks Patch Management Agent and Server side fixes have been applied.

Resolution

For ZCM 11.2: This is fixed in version 11.2.1 - see KB 7010042 "ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2.1 - update information and list of fixes" which can be found at https://support.microfocus.com/kb/doc.php?id=7010042

Workaround: if it is not possible to upgrade to ZCM11.2.1 at this time, in the interim, Novell has made a Patch available for testing, as part of a Monthly patch update: it can be obtained at https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=EWuCrZ4JAO0~ as "ZCM 11.2 Monthly Update 1 - see TID 7004550". This update should only be applied if the symptoms above are being experienced, and are causing problems.

Cause

After a reboot of a managed device, any cached worksets for patch bundles were being processed all at once, causing the Remediate 200 errors.
