Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management Inventory
Situation
IE recognition lists multiple version of the application, one for each service pack installed.
Resolution
This is fixed in version 10.2.1 - see KB 7003766 "ZENworks 10
Configuration Management 10.2.1 - update information and list of fixes"

Within ZCC at Configuration> Inventory there is a section named Software Applications where there is a list of paths to be ignored by the software scan.

It is one of several paths that can cause false positives in the software scan. The Ignore Software Directory Path is a feature added to skip over them.
These can be added these to the list tofix the problem.
For IE in particular there are two paths to be added:
C:\WINDOWS\ie7updates
C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$
Within the ZAM 7.5 Manager the collection option set can be modified to add in the above directory paths to eliminate the false positive recognition for IE.

Going forward, these two strings should be added to the default ignore list that is populated in a fresh install.
