Environment

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management with Support Pack 1 - 10.1

Situation

Already 'Baselined' SU (System Updates) are deleted (as recommended for updating to 10.1.3) and no longer list in ZCC, but later list again as 'Baselined' , but with a new 'Applied Date' .

Initially, after deletion, ZMAN SUVA no longer lists them, but later lists them as 'Baselined' with the same new 'Applied Date'  that ZCC does.

Resolution

This is working as designed .

Additional Information

If 'Check for Updates' is done, these updates will return to the list (per design).  If the refresh button on the browser is used after selecting to 'Check for Updates', this will cause the 'Check for Updates' to reoccur (see KB 7002526  'ZENworks 10 Configuration Management 10.1.3 - patch information and list of fixes', 'Please note: after deleting these updates, if you perform a "check for updates", they will return in your list of updates, but because they are not downloaded or assigned to any devices at that point, they will not interfere with future updates.').

Presently, it is unknown if deleted SUs with a status other than 'Baselined' will behave the same way.  All the deleted SUs on the test server had been 'Baselined'.
