Situation

Permissions associated with File Bundle are not working

Resolution

To obtain access to a hot patch with the fix for this problem, follow the instructions in KB 3469853 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

Steps to Replicate:

01. Create a File Bundle & specify the permission for that file as 777

02. Assign this Bundle to a client system.

03. Do rug ref on client.

 

Results:

In client system :blr-mantech-r5g:/tmp # ls -l

drwxr-xr-x 11 root root 1088 2007-02-22 22:07 httpd-2.2.3

 

 

Expected result:

File should have permission as specified during Bundle creation
