Novell ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management - ZLM7.2
Situation
Problem happens on laptops with a wireless NIC.
Wireless network card will no longer communicate.
Resolution
To obtain access to a hot patch with the fix for this problem, follow the instructions in KB 3469853 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Additional Information
The NIC is setup with a WEP encryption key to connect to the wireless access point. When hwinfo runs to gather inventory for ZLM, it breaks the WEP key and the wireless NIC loses connection to the wireless access point.
