Novell ZENworks 11 Configuration Management Support Pack 2 - ZCM 11 SP2
Situation
User password management is different in ZCM 11.1 and 11.2 when logging into a managed device where the user source is eDirectory; the managed device is Windows 7 with the Novell client; and the device has the ZCM agent installed.
When logging into a ZCM 11.1 managed device that has an existing user and password and that password does not match the password in the user source, the password on the local device is changed to match the password in the user source. There is a seamless log in.
When logging into a ZCM 11.2 managed device that has an existing user and password and that password does not match the password in the user source, the password on the local device is NOT changed to match the password in the user source. The login process is stopped and the user is prompted to log onto the local computer, a checkbox is shown that when checked would change the local password to match the user source password after a successful login.
