Valid Patch Management License shows as expired

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management

Situation

After entering a valid serial number in to the Patch Management component of ZCM, the serial number shows as expired - possibly one or two years ago.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.0.2 - see KB 3486285 "Updates to ZENworks 10 Configuration Management" which can be found athttps://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

The problem occurs because ZCM checks for the first license record, instead of the most recent. It will not affect anyone using a trial license, nor will it affect anyone who enters a serial number that has been in use for less than one year.
