Active Distributions are being cleaned up on end-node Subscribers

Novell ZENworks 7 Server Management Support Pack 1 - ZSM7 SP1 Tiered Electronic Distribution (TED)

Situation

End node subscribers are receiving the distributions, extracting the files associated with the packages and then removing the files associated with the package even though the End Node subscriber is still supposed to have the distribution.

This has primarily been seen on end-node servers that are children of parents that are also subscribers.

Their parent servers successfully receive, extract, and maintain the distributions and related files.

Resolution

To obtain access to a hot patch with the fix for this problem, follow the instructions in KB 3809227 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Server Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
