ZFSVERSION.NCF is not displaying the installed version

Situation

After installing a hotpatch for ZSM7 SP1, running ZFSVERSION.NCF on the server, will display build version 0000.
It is not possible to determine (easy) which ZSM7 SP1 hotpatch has been installed on the server.

Resolution

Fixed in ZENworks 7 Server Management Service Pack 1 Interim Release 3a, see KB 3809227 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7 Server Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  1. Install a netware server with ZSM7 SP1 HP6 or update an existing ZSM7 SP1 server to HP6.
  2. Run 'ZFSVERSION sys:' on the server. This will write zfsversion.log to sys:\ of the server
  3. one of the modules replaced by hp6 is ZCommon.jar. If you look in the log you will see the following information regarding this file
zsm:\zenworks\PDS\LIB\ZCommon.jar

This problem exists for all HP's. You can not tell which version (HP) has been installed on the server. To check which version is installed, you need to verify all dates of the jar's.
