Zen partition install is deleting ISD

Novell ZENworks 10 Configuration Management

Situation

The ISD (Image Safe Data) on the device is removed after installing the ZEN partition. This is caused by the installation of grub.

Resolution

This is fixed in version 10.0.1 - see KB 3486285 "Updates to ZENworks 10 Configuration Management" which can be found athttps://www.novell.com/support

Additional Information

Steps to Reproduce:

1. install OS

2. install the agent. ISD is now populated

3. take an image of the OS

4. install the ZEN partition

RESULTS:

The device has had its ISD removed. It can no longer perform imaging work

based on its identity.
