Situation
When
allowing the "Configure Registration" right for a
non-superuser in the ZENworks Control Center
you cannot create a registration key or rule.
Resolution
This is fixed in
version 10.0.3 - see KB 3486285 "Updates to ZENworks 10
Configuration Management" which can be found at https://www.novell.com/support
Additional Information
Steps to
Duplicate:
1. Create a
user in the ZCC and leave the checkbox to give the same rights
as
you have, unchecked.
2. Once you have created the user, click on the username, and below click the
add button and add Zone Rights. See screenshot to see the rights settings. Logout and log back into the ZCC as the newly created user.

3. Click on Configuration on the left hand side, notice registration tab at the top. Click on it.
4. Once the Registration page comes up the user that is logged in does not have the ability to create a new registration key or rule. Keys and rules can be modified, but not created.
5. Allowing "Configure Registration" under Zone Settings will not allow the creation of registration key or rule.
