Notes and Limitations
- When installing Change Impact Testing on an HP-UX platform, run the setup file with the following command switch:
-W installLocationSequence.active=false- After installing Change Impact Testing on a 64-bit platform, open the Run_CIA_Server.sh file in the <Change Impact Testing installation directory>\CIA folder, and add the -d64 switch to the java command. After the change, the line should be as follows:
../../QualityCenter/_jvm/bin/java -d64 -Djava.rmi.server.useCodebaseOnly=true -Xmx512m -jar CIARmiServer.jar localhost 2405- If you copy a project with the Change Impact Testing extension in Quality Center 9.2, and then upgrade the copy to Quality Center 10.00, attachments of Changes or Application Entities are empty and cannot be opened.
Workaround: After copying the project in Quality Center 9.2, and before upgrading the project to Quality Center 10.00, open the original project repository, and copy the relevant entity attachments to the new project repository.- In a new Quality Center 10.00 project with the Change Impact Testing extension enabled, the first time you add or import changes, the Testing Impact tab does not display correctly.
Workaround: Log out of the project and log back in again.- If you uninstall Change Impact Testing, you can no longer work with projects for which Change Impact Testing was enabled.
- The following limitation occurs when you try to import changes and some changes already exist in the Changes module. In such a case, you are not asked whether you want to analyze the imported changes immediately.
- When you create a new user group based on an existing user group, Quality Center does not copy the permission settings for the Modify Folder tasks in the Application Model tab and Changes tab of the Permission Settings dialog box.
- User groups that have permissions to modify associations between application entities and tests can modify these associations from the Testing Impact tab in the Changes module, even if they do not have the Modify Impact permission in the Changes tab of the Permission Settings dialog box.
- If you enable history for the Folder field for change entities, the history data displayed is inaccurate.
