NOTE: When you install the Microsoft Enterprise Servers SPI on HPOM 8.10 all policies and tools for all the Enterprise Servers are visible, but only the above mentioned Enterprise Servers are supported.

Obsolete Versions

Microsoft has made the following versions of Enterprise Servers obsolete:

These versions are not supported by the Microsoft Enterprise Servers SPI 6.30. However, policies necessary for monitoring these Enterprise Servers are still packaged with the Microsoft Enterprise Servers SPI.

NEW FEATURE: Monitoring of Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, including policies, reports and graphs.

Separate Reports and Graphs install: During the SPI install process you now select whether to install the SPI's reporting (if HP Reporter is installed) and graphing (if HP Performance Manager is installed) components. Previously SPI reports and graphs were installed with the SPI automatically.

New Product Names: HP OpenView Operations is now HP Operations Manager, OVO for Windows is now HPOM for Windows, and HP OpenView Smart Plug-in for Microsoft Enterprise Servers is now HP Operations Smart Plug-in for Microsoft Enterprise Servers.

NOTE: Due to these product name changes there may be situations where the product name in the documentation temporarily differs from the name you see on the software, or where the latest Smart Plug-in online help product names conflict with earlier OVO for Windows product names.
