Question

This error message comes out while defining SiteScope Monitor(SSM). Here are the step to reproduce the problem :

  1. Go to Performance Center 11 website.
  2. Click Test Resources.
  3. Click Monitor Configuration
  4. Click New
  5. Select Sitescope
  6. Next "Edit Monitor" dialog box pops up.
  7. Key in the Server IP address.
  8. Tick the "Use Account"
  9. Key in User Name and Passord.
  10. Click "Get Counters"

Next, below error message pop up :

Failed to retrieve measurements.Please check the machine name,credentials and other supplied details and try again

 

Answer

In order to resolved this issue, please make sure you define the correct :

  1. Account Name
  2. Login Name
  3. Password

in the Edit Monitor dialog box.
