NNM iSPI Performance for QA 9.20 contains new features, feature enhancements, and other changes.
The Intelligent Response Agent (iRA) augments the capabilities of the NNM iSPI Performance for QA by enabling you to configure, discover, manage, and monitor QA probes on systems where you installed the iRA. The iRA enables you to configure and discover QA probes for the following service types:

Using this feature, you can organize the QA Groups based on a specific NNM iSPI Performance for QA entity type. Such organization enables you to easily create discovery filter and thresholds that belong to the same group. An NNM iSPI Performance for QA element can be part of multiple QA Groups.
The QA Groups for QA Probes enable you to group QA probes based on a common criterion, such as name, owner, type, ToS, host name, site, node group name, and so on. For example, you can configure a QA Group for the VoIP service and you can view the details of all the probes that belong to the VoIP service, in the QA Group Inventory view.
QA Groups for CBQoS enables you to group CBQoS probes based on common CBQoS Interfaces and CBQoS Actions. For example, you can configure a QA Group for RED action type and you can view the details of all the probes that belong to RED action type, in the QA Group Inventory view.
You can view the discovered and configured QA Groups in the QA Group Inventory view.
You can import and export the QA Group entities and configurations, by using the command line utility.
Using this feature, you can create and manage CBQoS policy hierarchy.
Using this feature, you can define a router-node pair to analyze the interface utilization and latency information of the router. Using the new Ping Pair extension pack, you can generate reports to view the interface utilization and RTT latency information of the router.
Using this feature, you can view the performance faults for the selected probes based on the user-defined thresholds, in the form of graphs and charts in the NNMi console. A new tab Performance is added in the Analysis Pane of the following inventory views:
Using this report, you can view the following important metrics performance, for the selected QA probe in a single report:
Using this report, you can analyze and compare the performances of the following CBQoS managed policies, classes, and interfaces in a single report:
Using this feature, you can monitor the connectivity between the nodes and identify the performance of the network path, using the configured probes. You can display a global map, which has the connectivity between multiple sites, or nodes. The links between the node groups, or sites reflect the status running between them.
Using this feature, you can manage tenants for each customer. An Overlapping Address Domain enables you to duplicate the IP address on the same network by using different tenant names. By default, the tenant name is "Default Tenant." The NNM iSPI Performance for QA leverages the OAD feature that NNMi implements.
The NNM iSPI Performance for QA generates correlated incidents if there are multiple probe failures in the destination node and destination site. This feature identifies the cause when a QA probe fails to run, correlates all the probe failures, which are associated to the same cause, and generates a common incident for all the QA probe failures for the common cause.

Example: Consider that you have configured five nodes (Node 1, Node 2, Node 3, Node 4, and Node 5) in the NNMi. If you want to define a Discovery Inclusion Filter for Node 1 and Node 2 in NNM iSPI Performance for QA, only those two nodes (Node 1 and Node 2) are alone discovered.
Upgrading to the NNM iSPI Performance for QA 9.20 overwrites all modifications done for the data retention periods of NNM iSPI Performance for QA extension packs with default settings. To retain the modifications done prior to upgrading to the NNM iSPI Performance for QA 9.20, perform the following tasks for each extension pack:
Note: If you modified the data retention settings for the NNM iSPI Performance for QA 9.1x extension packs, you must perform the following steps. Otherwise, you might lose the NNM iSPI Performance for QA data from the NPS database after the default data retention configuration of the NNM iSPI Performance for QA 9.20 takes effect.
1. Log on to the NPS system.
2. Take a backup of the
customConfig
.cfg
file for each extension pack. ThecustomConfig.cfg

4. Install the NNM iSPI Performance for QA 9.20 by following the instructions provided in the Installation Guide. Make sure the ETL process is still stopped after the installation.
5. Perform the following steps for each extension pack:
a. Open the backed-up
customConfig
.cfg
file with a text editor.b. Create a new file using the text editor.
c. Add the following content to the new file:
