To download version 10.1.1, you must first select version 10.1 in the Software Licenses and Downloads Portal.
The following new key features are available with this version:
Vertica 10.1.1 adds a broad array of improvements and enhancements. Vertica analytics gets a boost with support for the latest version of PMML, 4.4, some useful new analytical functions, and a new machine learning algorithm: Approximate Quantile Sketch. While analytics is usually the biggest news in any release, this time the even bigger news is twofold. The first is the Limited Availability of Vertica in Eon Mode on Microsoft Azure cloud. Some of Vertica’s largest customers have already signed up to test Eon Mode functionality on Azure storage. And, with 10.1.1, Vertica officially starts Beta support of Kubernetes and containers. A Vertica-tested Docker image will be available on Dockerhub and Github. We welcome customers to try it out as many ways as they can before our upcoming GA release. This version also includes improvements in complex types support to more seamlessly unify data lake and data warehouse architectures, enhanced security including FIPS 140-2 support, and more.
