UCMDB-Asset Manager push for Oracle LMS Missing to push advance compression usage

Question

A customer found that the UCMDB -> AM push Integration for Oracle LMS CI's was unable to push some fields data for advance compression which is actually present in UD oracle LMS reports.

If the feature Oracle Datapump (Export) is used without compression, there is no licensing is required.

If the feature Oracle Datapump (Export) is used with compression, then there is a requirement to license Advanced Compression. This type of usage was found to be not being pushed into AM as licensable usage and it should have been. Rows in the AM Monitored Applications table (amMonitoredApp) for Oracle Compression should have shown as "In Use" for the Status, and the access time columns should have shown as correctly populated.

At the moment the rows for Oracle Compression were showing a Status of "Installed"

Answer

This is a known issue fixed in AM Generic Adapter Version: 1.05.01 - ref: OCTIM19U811923 (see KM03651832) and 1.05.02 - ref: OCTIM19U1305715 . These patched versions are available from UCMDB support who will also be able to advise on other fixes included in these patches.

It is not fixed in 1.05 so customers upgrading to a CP containing AM Generic Adapter 1.05 are advised to undeploy 1.05 and deploy 1.05.02 instead in order to get this fix.
Customers who have other fixes made to the AM Generic Adapter are advised to check the impact of installing these patches with UCMDB support before installing one.
