The following new key features are available with this version:

Flexible and extensible Groovy masking functions

With this release all masking functions are implemented in groovy, and even the built-in ones become customizable.

• Replacement of built-in SQL functions
• Replacement of built-in Java masking functions
• Improved custom Groovy masking functions support.

Masking functions are self-documented using groovy annotations.

Support Groovy masking functions for Database to Database (D2D)

This enhancement enables calling SecureData functions for D2D configurations.

All masking functions are now available for D2F (Database to File) or D2D (Database to Database).

Contextual Groovy masking functions.
A context is passed to all Masking functions, so you have all columns’ values and definitions to help you act on the current column depending on your business requirement. For example, you can generate a feminine name if the gender column is FEMALE.

Roles and Privileges updated for SDM and support for Extensions

• Extensions now have user-defined roles and privileges.

Cluster delete cascade for GDPR

Cartridges allow for deferring delete of the driving table so you can chain multiple model-based cartridges and only delete from the driving table at the last step. The benefit is that you keep the customer record until all its dependent objects are deleted and then you can delete the customer record. In the structured data world you cannot, for example, delete a customer until all his/her invoices are deleted.
