Summary
This error was showing up during the installation of visual studio 2017 plug-in for SCA.
Question
Error code 2004 shows in the install logs when installing the Visual Studio extension. There are not any secondary errors, and a search shows the EC 2004 is a generic error message for Visual Studio.
Answer
The Installer that was downloaded was corrupted and had an error in the extension files. Re downloading the install and trying the install again cleared this issue from happening.
